Trade Compliance and Export Documentation for Charcoal

Exporting charcoal from Thailand requires Certificate of Analysis, MSDS, IMDG documentation, and country-specific customs requirements. This guide covers everything importers need to know.

Certificate of Analysis (CoA)

A Certificate of Analysis confirms the chemical composition of each charcoal shipment — fixed carbon, moisture, ash, volatile matter, and calorific value. Matsuri International provides a CoA for every shipment. This document is required by customs in Japan, UAE, Australia, and most developed import markets.

MSDS — Material Safety Data Sheet

An MSDS (also called SDS under GHS standards) is required for all IMDG-classified goods including charcoal. Matsuri International provides MSDS documentation prepared to GHS and REACH standards for all export markets.

Country-Specific Import Requirements

Japan requires the CoA and IMDG declaration. UAE and GCC countries require a Certificate of Origin in addition to CoA and MSDS. Australia requires phytosanitary compliance documentation. Matsuri International is experienced with requirements across 30+ destination countries.
